By ferry from Helsinki to Tallinn
Ferry operators and terminals
Three companies carry passengers with cars between Helsinki and Tallinn. Tallink runs Megastar and MyStar between West Terminal 2 in Helsinki and Terminal D in Tallinn. Eckerö Line’s Finlandia also leaves from West Terminal 2 and Viking Line’s Viking XPRS from Katajanokka Terminal, and both arrive at Terminal A of Tallinn’s Old City Harbour.
To avoid central Helsinki, Eckerö Line’s Finbo Cargo sails from Vuosaari Harbour to Muuga Harbour just outside Tallinn and takes passengers with cars as well as freight. Timetables and fares vary by season, so check the operator’s website and pick a sailing that fits our opening hours.
From the harbour to Peetri
Our workshop is at Tähnase 1, Peetri, Rae Parish, on the south-eastern edge of Tallinn and about five minutes from Tallinn Airport. From the Old City Harbour it is under ten kilometres by road: about 6 km from Terminal D and about 8 km from Terminal A. From Muuga Harbour it is about 20 km. What to bring
A well-prepared Tesla service Tallinn visit runs more smoothly when you have everything with you. Before heading to the ferry, check that you have these to hand:
- the vehicle registration certificate;
- a key card, so the workshop can access the car while your phone is with you in town;
- the locking wheel nut key, if the car has locking bolts;
- screenshots of alerts and notes on when and in what conditions the fault appears;
- invoices for earlier work, if the problem could be linked to a previous repair.

One-day visit or leaving the car

Drive straight from the harbour to Peetri, leave the car with us and spend the waiting time in town: a taxi or Bolt gets you to the Old Town or to the Ülemiste shopping centre next to the airport. We are open Monday to Friday, 9:00-18:00, and closed at weekends. Estonia and Finland share a time zone, so there is no clock conversion.
Morning ferry, Tesla service, Tallinn’s Old Town while you wait, home in the evening: that works for routine jobs, but not every job fits into one day. If a part is needed that is not in stock, you can come back later or leave the car with us. Ask about car transport too, as we can arrange transport to the workshop door to door.

Does independent Tesla service affect my warranty?
According to Tesla’s owner’s manual, regular maintenance can be done by Tesla, an independent repairer or the owner. Warranty repairs are Tesla’s job, and the manual excludes from warranty any damage caused by maintenance or repairs by technicians who are not Tesla certified. That is why we follow Tesla’s service protocols and use original parts.
How long does a Tesla service Tallinn visit take?
It depends on the job and on whether the parts are in stock, so there is no single answer. When booking, describe exactly what needs doing and ask whether it fits into one day. If parts have to be ordered, we agree a new date or the car stays with us until they arrive.
Do I have to bring the car myself?
Not necessarily. We offer door-to-door transport of the car to the workshop. When booking, tell us where the car is coming from and ask how transport would work in your case. If you drive yourself, go straight off the ferry to your Tesla service. Tallinn’s harbour is under ten kilometres from Peetri.
Is VAT added to the price list prices?
Yes. The price list shows “from” prices excluding VAT, for example Tesla maintenance from €60 and brake pads and discs from €80. The final amount depends on the work and parts, and you will know it before work starts if you ask for an estimate.
