The most important step after changing the windshield (windscreen) is adapting and calibrating the sensors.
System recalibration is the process of properly matching the car’s sensors and cameras so that the driver assistance system, or ADAS, functions as intended and meets the standards established by the manufacturer. We use licensed company equipment and Toolbox3 software, and after replacing the windshield, we recalibrate the camera if necessary to restore the condition before the windshield was replaced.
After replacing the windshield, the position of the driver assistance system and the factory-calibrated angle change to such an extent that, if not recalibrated, the sensors and cameras will no longer measure the distance, distance, obstacles or possible danger to the car correctly, and you will quickly become a danger to yourself and others, especially if you are already used to trusting the driver assistance system . A tilt angle of +1° can lead to significant measurement error and potential danger in the future:
By knowingly or unknowingly relying on an uncalibrated driver assistance system, a crash in the future is very likely. ServiceMode always calibrates the driver assistance system to the OEM standard after a glass change.
